Maker Forge exists to help makers understand the true cost of their products, make better pricing decisions, and build healthier businesses.
We believe software should work for makers, not the other way around.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old or have permission from a parent or legal guardian to use Maker Forge.
You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the Service complies with all applicable laws.
Your Account
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account.
You agree to:
- Provide accurate account information
- Keep your login credentials secure
- Notify us if you believe your account has been compromised
- Accept responsibility for activity that occurs under your account
Maker Forge uses Microsoft Entra ID for authentication.
We never receive or store your Microsoft password.
Your Data
The data you enter into Maker Forge belongs to you.
This includes, but is not limited to:
- Products
- Materials
- Pricing
- Labor estimates
- Suppliers
- Contacts
- Store information
- Notes
You grant Maker Forge permission to store and process this information solely for the purpose of providing the Service.
We do not claim ownership of your business data.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Break or attempt to bypass security measures
- Reverse engineer or interfere with the Service
- Upload malicious software
- Use the Service for unlawful purposes
- Attempt unauthorized access to other user accounts
- Disrupt the operation of Maker Forge
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
Subscription Plans
Maker Forge may offer:
- Free
- Pro
- Founder
Features available depend on your subscription level.
Subscription pricing may change in the future, but changes will not affect billing periods that have already been paid.
Billing
Subscriptions are billed through Stripe.
By purchasing a subscription, you authorize Stripe to process payments according to your selected plan.
Unless canceled, subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period.
You may cancel at any time.
Refunds
Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.
Please review the Refund Policy for details regarding subscription and Founder purchases.
Availability
We strive to keep Maker Forge available at all times.
However, we cannot guarantee uninterrupted service.
Maintenance, upgrades, or unforeseen technical issues may occasionally make the Service unavailable.
We are not liable for temporary interruptions.
Backups
We make reasonable efforts to protect your data.
However, you remain responsible for maintaining backups of information that is important to your business.
No cloud service can guarantee against every possible failure.
Product Recommendations
Maker Forge provides pricing recommendations, profitability calculations, and business insights based on information you enter.
These recommendations are provided as decision-support tools.
You remain solely responsible for:
- Product pricing
- Business decisions
- Tax reporting
- Financial decisions
- Compliance with marketplace policies
Maker Forge does not provide accounting, tax, legal, or financial advice.
Intellectual Property
Maker Forge, including its software, branding, logos, graphics, design, and content, is owned by Maker Forge unless otherwise noted.
You may not copy, redistribute, modify, sell, or reverse engineer any portion of the Service except as permitted by law.
Feedback
If you provide feedback, suggestions, or feature requests, you grant Maker Forge permission to use those ideas without obligation or compensation.
We genuinely appreciate your ideas. They help improve the product for everyone.
Termination
You may stop using Maker Forge at any time.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that:
- Violate these Terms
- Abuse the Service
- Engage in fraudulent or illegal activity
- Threaten the security or stability of the platform
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Maker Forge is provided "as is" and "as available."
We make no guarantees that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for every business.
Maker Forge shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost business opportunities, or loss of data arising from your use of the Service.
Our total liability for any claim related to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid to Maker Forge during the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Maker Forge, its owners, employees, and affiliates from claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses arising from:
- Your use of the Service
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of applicable law
- Your infringement of another party's rights
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time.
If significant changes are made, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.
Continued use of Maker Forge after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maine, United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
Any legal disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the appropriate state or federal courts located in Maine.
