About Maker Forge
Maker Forge was not started in a boardroom. It started in a woodworking shop, after years of building products, selling online, and asking whether each sale actually made money.
We built the software we needed.
Spreadsheets were not enough once material prices changed, marketplace fees grew, shipping varied, and hours disappeared into products that only looked profitable.
Our Philosophy
Do not optimize products. Optimize the maker's time.
Every maker has the same twenty-four hours in a day. The products you choose to build determine how much those hours are worth.
Costs matter. Margins matter. But the most valuable resource in every shop is time.
Maker Forge helps you understand exactly what you are earning for every hour you spend creating.
Because better decisions build better businesses.
Built By Makers
Maker Forge was not created by accountants, consultants, or people who have never sold a handmade product.
We run our own maker business every day. We use lasers, CNC machines, 3D printers, and traditional shop tools. We build products, sell online, and deal with shipping, customer messages, changing material costs, and marketplace fees.
Maker Forge is the software we rely on ourselves.
What Makes Maker Forge Different?
Most software tells you what happened. Maker Forge helps you decide what to make next.
Built for Small Shops
Maker Forge is designed for businesses that make things.
You do not need an accounting degree. You do not need complicated spreadsheets. You just need good information.
Whether you build with wood, lasers, CNC machines, 3D printers, leather, metal, ceramics, resin, textiles, or hand tools, Maker Forge helps you understand the real economics behind every product.
Small maker businesses deserve software designed specifically for them, not enterprise manufacturing tools, generic bookkeeping systems, or inventory software built for warehouses full of employees.
Help makers spend less time guessing and more time creating.
Every feature should answer a simple question: will this help a maker make a better decision? If the answer is no, we will not build it.
Meet the Founder
Maker Forge was created by Jeremy Randall, a software developer and lifelong maker who also operates a successful online woodworking business.
After years of designing software professionally and building products in the shop, Jeremy realized there was not a tool that answered the questions makers ask every day: am I actually making money, and what should I spend my next hour building?
Maker Forge is the result of bringing those two worlds together: professional software development and real-world maker experience.
Start building smarter.
Maker Forge is still growing, and every piece of feedback helps shape the future of the platform.
Help makers build more profitable businesses, one product at a time.
