Where Did My Sale Go?

Selling Price Is Not Profit
What the buyer pays also covers marketplace and payment fees, shipping, product costs, packaging, advertising, and other direct expenses. What remains is your actual earnings from the costs entered.
Estimate Before the Sale. Measure After the Sale.
Before a sale, use estimates to decide whether a price makes sense. After a sale, use actual transaction numbers to see what happened. Plan your next price with the Etsy Profit Calculator.
Shipping Charged vs. Shipping Cost
Shipping charged to the customer is revenue collected. Actual shipping cost is what you paid for postage. They may be different. Marketplace-collected sales tax passes through and does not increase your earnings.
